UAVNZ Awards 2025

  • The UAVNZ Safety Awards celebrate individuals and/or organisations who go above and beyond to improve the safety of UAV operations in New Zealand. We are looking for innovators, leaders, and teams who have made a measurable difference in promoting safe practices, reducing risk, and fostering a strong safety culture within the UAV community. Multiple awards may be presented each year, recognising excellence across training, operational safety, risk management, or safety advocacy.

  • This award recognises individuals or organisations that demonstrate exceptional leadership and a lasting impact within the UAV sector. Recipients set the benchmark for professionalism, inspire others through their example, and actively contribute to the growth, development, and safety of the industry. This award celebrates those who champion best practice, mentor others, and drive initiatives that shape the future of UAV operations in New Zealand. We encourage nominations from colleagues, peers, or industry members who have witnessed this leadership and impact firsthand.

  • This award celebrates UAV operators, whether individuals or organisations, who consistently demonstrate the highest standards of operational excellence. It recognises professionalism in planning and execution, commitment to safety, and a strong track record of delivering quality outcomes. Recipients set themselves apart through reliability, expertise, and their contribution to maintaining and raising the bar for UAV operations across the sector. Nominations are welcome from clients, collaborators, or team members who can speak to the nominee’s exceptional operational performance.

  • This award recognises individuals or organisations that bring forward innovative solutions, technologies, or processes that advance the UAV industry in New Zealand. Whether through pioneering new techniques, developing tools that improve efficiency or safety, or driving creative approaches to complex challenges, recipients of this award demonstrate forward thinking, tangible impact, and the ability to transform industry practice. We invite nominations from anyone who has seen the nominee’s innovation in action and its positive effect on the sector.

  • Nominees must be individuals or companies that conduct business in New Zealand and utilise UAVs as part of their work. Self-nominations are allowed. Winners for each category will be decided by the UAVNZ Executive Committee. Entries close at 5pm on 03 November 2025.
